		<description>I guess you could if your school is a registered charity. The customary treatment however is to deduct the excess over the $250.00 as unreimbursed employee business expenses.  In many cases a charitable deduction is more beneficial, but in most cases is probably not appropriate. Consult your tax advisor for more specific guidance and insight in your specific situation.</description>
